Howard Stern's Cousin Richie Gerber was the host of The Natural Grocer Radio Show, South Florida's Health Talk Radio. Richie interviewed leading edge authors, scientists and personalities in the Alternative/Complementary Medicine Industry. Guests included Dr. Wayne Dyer, Dr. Earl Mindell, Udo Erasmus and Dr. Robert Atkins to name a few. The show ran for over 10 years.
Cousin Richie has been a leading force in the South Florida natural foods industry as co-owner of The Bread of Life Natural Foods Markets, which merged with Whole Foods Market, Inc. (WFMI) in 1997.
The Bread of Life was known for its great natural foods as well as its world-class jazz. Cousin Richie, an accomplished sax player, shared the stage with such jazz legends as: Eddie Higgins, Pete Minger, Lou Colombo, Ira Sullivan, Buddy DeFranco, Duffy Jackson, Richie Cole, Billy Ross, Randy Bernsen and Frank Tibari.
